Candle Care Guide

To get the most out of your WICK WORX candles and ensure a safe, beautiful burn every time, follow these simple care tips.

🕯️ The First Burn

Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container on the first burn (usually 2–4 hours). This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even, full burn throughout the life of your candle.

✂️ Trim Your Wick

Before each burn, trim the wick to 5mm. This helps prevent smoking, uneven burning, and excessive flame height — keeping your burn clean and your fragrance true.

🔥 While Burning

Limit burning time to 4 hours at a time. Keep your candle away from drafts, fans, and open windows to prevent uneven burning. Never leave a burning candle unattended or out of sight.

🌬️ Extinguish Safely

Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid using the lid to extinguish — this can cause smoke damage to the vessel. Allow the candle to cool completely for at least 2 hours before relighting or moving.

🫙 Storage & Maintenance

Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the fragrance and prevent fading. Use the lid when not in use to keep dust out. Discontinue use when only 10mm of wax remains at the bottom.

⚠️ Safety First

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Don't move a candle while burning or while the wax is liquid. Never use water to extinguish. Ensure the room is well-ventilated.
